Gold Coast, May 2026 — Two years ago, VIZ Tradie's Insurance backed a young Evans Head surfer who reminded us of our customers: hard-working, no shortcuts, mastering his craft. Today, we're proud to extend our partnership with Callum Robson for another two years.
The decision was an easy one. Callum isn't just an exceptional athlete — he's the closest thing professional surfing has to a tradie on Tour. Apprentice carpenter background. Working-class roots. Earns every result through graft, not gloss. He's been called the blue-collar hard worker of the Championship Tour, and it fits. When tradies watch Callum surf, they see themselves in him: someone who turns up, does the work, and lets the results speak.
What we've built so far
The last two years haven't been a free ride. Callum has been clawing his way back to the Championship Tour — the training, the travel, the relentless grind fans don't see. Alongside the competition side, we've supported the evolution of his junior development work into Project06, an initiative giving emerging surfers real exposure to high-performance surfing and the mindset that goes with it. The annual Grom Games sits at the heart of that — pure grass-roots surfing, built for kids who love the sport.
That grass-roots commitment matters to us. Tradies build communities. Callum is building his. Project06 and the Grom Games are exactly the kind of work we want our brand standing alongside.
