How to use your Tradie Pass

With your VIZ Tradie Pass in your digital wallet, you can view and share your Certificate of Currency anytime right from your phone.

1.

Go to your device's Wallet App

To grab your Certificate of Currency, head over to your phone's wallet app. For Android, that will be Google Wallet, and for iPhone, that will be just Wallet.

Open the Back of the Pass

Tap on the VIZ Tradie Pass in your wallet app so that it takes centre stage. In the top right, find the more information button ('🛈', '...' or '⋮'), tap it, and hit Pass Details.

3.

Download your Certificate of Currency

And finally, click 'Download Now' to create an up-to-date version of your Certificate of Currency.

This can be done as many times as you need, whenever you need. The file is downloadable and shareable in just a few clicks!

The VIZ Tradie Pass is Australia's first digital wallet insurance card for tradies. It is included free with every VIZ Insurance policy and gives you instant access to your Certificate of Currency and insurance policy details from your smartphone — directly from your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, without needing to call or email VIZ Insurance.

Once you have your VIZ Insurance policy, you can add your VIZ Tradie Pass to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. You would have received an email from hello@vizinsurance.com.au inviting you to activate it. Your Certificate of Currency is then available instantly from your phone at any time — useful when a site supervisor, principal contractor, or client asks for proof of insurance on the spot.

The VIZ Tradie Pass displays your key insurance details including your policy number, coverage type, insurer details, and a direct link to download your Certificate of Currency. You can also access direct links to update your premium payment details or lodge a claim. It updates automatically when your policy is renewed, so your details are always current.

On a busy job site, being asked to produce your Certificate of Currency at short notice is common. The VIZ Tradie Pass means you can instantly show or download your certificate from your phone without needing Wi-Fi access to email or having to call your insurer. It removes delays and keeps your work moving.
